I bid adieu

Shutting myself to the past windows

I decide to move on

I close the door

To all that is left behind

I turn back

To take a last peek into

All that was

And all that was not

A catharsis

To bid a final adieu

To all that was never mine

Happiness in lease I lived

Castle that blew to the wind

And dreams buried alive

  1. This is beautiful poetry...simple words describing complex emotions. Hope its not suicidal though...

  2. Very poignant indeed……

Sane Insane – I believe it is not suicidal, rather to me it sounds full of hope……

Acceptance of the closed doors of the past is a step towards moving on towards the future……

    Soul Am I Right?.......

  3. @ Upkaran: What made me think about being suicidal are the following lines,
    "..To bid a final adieu
To all that was never mine
    Happiness in lease I lived
Castle that blew to the wind
    And dreams buried alive"

I agree that looking behind hinders the future. However, when dreams are buried, hope ends. Once a brilliant philosopher by the name of Bertrant Russel said that 'a man is not limited by what he cannot achieve, but by what he cannot DREAM of', dreams, I think, makes us strive towards living life and not just existing. However, this is the way I think, and therefore the previous perception. I may be totally wrong, and i will be happy to.
