Shutting myself to the past windows
I decide to move on
I close the door
To all that is left behind
I turn back
To take a last peek into
All that was
And all that was not
A catharsis
To bid a final adieu
To all that was never mine
Happiness in lease I lived
Castle that blew to the wind
And dreams buried alive
This is beautiful poetry...simple words describing complex emotions. Hope its not suicidal though...
ReplyDeleteVery poignant indeed……
ReplyDeleteSane Insane – I believe it is not suicidal, rather to me it sounds full of hope……
Acceptance of the closed doors of the past is a step towards moving on towards the future……
Soul Am I Right?.......
@ Upkaran: What made me think about being suicidal are the following lines,
ReplyDelete"..To bid a final adieu
To all that was never mine
Happiness in lease I lived
Castle that blew to the wind
And dreams buried alive"
I agree that looking behind hinders the future. However, when dreams are buried, hope ends. Once a brilliant philosopher by the name of Bertrant Russel said that 'a man is not limited by what he cannot achieve, but by what he cannot DREAM of', dreams, I think, makes us strive towards living life and not just existing. However, this is the way I think, and therefore the previous perception. I may be totally wrong, and i will be happy to.
